Alternative Financing Programs

Many states have Alternative Financing Programs that provide loans to people, including individuals with disabilities, who need assistive technology to help them meet their employment and education goals. Affordable loans are available for purchasing modified vehicles, standing wheelchairs, scooters and equipment for self-employment, among others. Many programs provide financial education that supports people as they stake steps towards developing good credit by purchasing assistive technology with affordable loans. National Disability Institute (NDI) now offers Alternative Financing services to residents in the state of New Jersey and New York City.
